Jeremy Stadler is the founder of the Calgary Hornets and the reason they're a participating team at the CARHA Hockey World Cup. We asked Jeremy what he enjoys most about the tournament, what he's looking forward to in 2020, and his favourite memories from 2016! Tell us about your team – What is your team name? How long have you been a team for? Calgary Hornets - I started the team all the way back in 2003! Which CARHA Hockey World Cup did you play in? Any favourite memories or moments? We played in the 2016 World Cup in Windsor and unfortunately lost in the finals. The best moments we had were the ones that were spent off the ice enjoying the festivities of the tournament and hanging out with the guys. What interests you about the CARHA Hockey World Cup? What interested us the most by far was the opportunity to compete against teams from countries all around the world. This is the closest we will ever come to the big leagues so having a chance to compete internationally is an opportunity we couldn't pass up. We had such a great time in 2016 that we didn't hesitate to register again for 2020 in Richmond. What are you most looking forward to in Richmond in 2020? Vancouver is my home town. I'm very excited to play tour guide for my teammates and show off the beautiful city. Plus I will have lots of family able to attend our games and cheer us on!
