Richmond Oval’s Olympic Anniversary Celebrations!

The Richmond Olympic Oval is excited to be celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Olympics in Vancouver this weekend, and the CARHA Hockey World Cup is happy to be a part of it all. We have a booth at the Oval all weekend long to be a part of the fun and excitement.

The Richmond Olympic Oval is offering three days of free events to celebrate the 2010 Olympic Winter Games anniversary.

The Oval will kick-off the celebratory events with Olympic Day – a day for youths to discover new sports and inspire them to maintain a healthy lifestyle – on Feb. 21.

There will be public skating, speed skating demonstrations, Canadian Olympians signing autographs, live performances by Circus West and more.

Skate and helmet rentals will be available for $3 and $2.25 respectively.

Visitors are encouraged to carpool or take public transit.

Parking at the Richmond Oval is $2 per hour or there is also free parking available at the City of Richmond Works Yard – 5599 Lynas Lane – with a complimentary shuttle for those visiting the Oval during celebration hours.
